Project Successes, Virtual Assistance:
-
Going Temporarily Remote.
Ever since being forced into the remote realm in March of 2020, I have flourished in my virtual position. Though I was originally a little lost on how to interact with our end users—we were a healthcare system inundated with COVID+ patients—we quickly realized how to help.
All predictive analytics and model work stopped. I began to utilize my skills in Microsoft PowerPoint to make infographics on where we stood with COVID; we began a glossary of terms and definitions, since the many asks were for particular sets of data related to COVID. All things became about COVID.
-
Staying remote.
With the decision to stay remote in early 2021, my job responsibilities necessitated change. I was no longer able to go to a co-worker’s desk for a “quick chat”. Microsoft Teams became the main point of contact and professional group chats were the norm.
My workload has developed into being responsible for:
Hosting the weekly SCRUM meetings, where we utilize Planview’s ProjectPlace
Keeping track of to-do’s for the team and general task inquiries/management
Providing bi-weekly status reports and executive summaries to the team and end users
-
Freelancing Opportunity
I realized that my skills could be used for others’ needs, on a freelance basis.
